I’m reaching out on behalf of my friend, Samantha Hernandez, who recently experienced a life-changing accident. While driving on 59, on a misty night her car hydroplaned, resulting in a severe crash that left her with multiple broken bones. She suffered a dislocated hip that was put in traction in the ER, a fractured pelvis which she had emergent surgery on and a fractured tibial plateau that she just had a new surgery for on 2/26/25. On top of all of this, her car was completely totaled.

Samantha is one of the most caring, strongest, loving people I know, but this accident has turned her world upside down. She’s facing extensive medical treatments, surgeries, and a long rehabilitation process. The financial burden of hospital bills, physical therapy, and everyday expenses while she’s unable to work is overwhelming.

She worked as a waitress, which means she doesn’t have paid time off or benefits to help cover her expenses as she heals. Not being able to work has put her in a tough financial spot, and I’m reaching out on behalf of Samantha for support to help with medical bills, daily living costs, her apartment rent and anything else she needs to get back on her feet-literally. Samantha had to undergo surgery in February and her recovery will be long and intense, including aggressive physical therapy before she can walk and work again.
