Hello, I have created this for my sister in hopes that there may be some kind souls that will see this and help.
My sister, Samantha, injured herself at the beginning of June while playing with her dog. During this, her dog jumped up and caused her to lose balance and twist her knee. Upon going to the hospital, it was said that it is likely a tear in her ACL.
Unfortunately, right now Samantha does not have any insurance. The hospital told her that she needs an MRI, but she does not have the funds to pay for the MRI and any upcoming potential surgeries if it is confirmed as an ACL tear.
The cheapest MRI without insurance is $500, and this would be to verify what exactly her injury is because it is not yet confirmed, only speculated. She would need funds for the MRI, any upcoming appointments, and to go towards a potential surgery.
Samantha does have a full-time job and works six days a week. She has two children ranging between the ages of 10-13. Due to the cost of living now, all of her money goes to her family and ensuring their comfort and the care of her children. Her own health insurance has not been at the forefront of her mind; her family has always been her priority.
She is in incredible pain trying to maintain her full-time job and being a mother while dealing with her injury and the stress of not being able to get the care she needs.
Anything at all helps, even the smallest amount, as she is in desperate need.
