Help Samantha Break Her Lease After Job Loss

Hello! I’m Samantha! This is a GoFundMe to break my lease due to being fired from my job on 5/2/2025 and being unable to cover rent. My family is letting me move home with my stuff and cats in tow.

I was fired without warning on 5/2, two days after being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I do not believe these two things are connected.

Because of the firing, and unemployment not yet being approved, I am looking at needing help to pay to break my lease. I have to pay $1,150 to break the lease, and $233 in prorated rent for 7 days in June as my leasing company required 30 days notice.

My apartment has flooded twice this month from a leak in the building, but they still want me to pay to break my lease, and I don’t have the energy or funds to fight them.

Anything you can give would be helpful! Even if I can’t get the full amount, anything helps! All I have in my bank account is money for groceries and bills, and even then it’s not enough.

All money donated will be used to go toward breaking my lease.
