Hello, my name is Samantha Schultz. I was born and raised in California. I now live in Tennessee and moved here when I was 17 to live with my grandmother. I ended up really liking Tennessee and staying. I moved back and forth between California and Tennessee for a while. I have now been in Tennessee for over 7 years straight without going back to California. I made a life here.

Well, now unfortunately, I am in a pretty bad spot. My friend, who I've known since I was 17 (I'm 34), and I got an apartment together. We agreed to stay here for at least the year that the lease gave us, then we would try to find a bigger place. Well, she ended up meeting this guy whom I've known for a while now and ended up moving him in against my wishes. I didn't think it was the best idea to move him into a one-bedroom apartment, but she insisted. A couple of other things followed after that. To cut a long story short, in December, our rent was past due. Our landlord gave us a little more time to pay. Well, the day that the rent was due, I asked her boyfriend for the rent money, and he said they aren't paying and were going to find a place of their own. So, without any notice, they ended up leaving me to pay all the rent.

I am now two months behind and about to get evicted any day now. I've tried emergency assistance around here, and it seems to be very hard to get accepted because so many people put in applications before I get a chance to, but I am still trying. I also need a roommate, but I can't seem to find one that I fully trust now that my best friend has done me this way. I lost my job 2 days before the day that they said they weren't paying rent anymore. My landlord told me if I can pay the 2 months that I'm behind, I can stay. It is a one-bedroom apartment, and it is $1,203 a month. I can't afford that on my own, but I also do not want to leave here and be in debt with them because it does not look good on my credit or for me as a person in general. I care what people think about me. I have been very honest with the landlord, and she has been more than helpful, so I would really like to pay what I owe and leave on good standings or stay if necessary.

It would be more than amazing if I could raise this money that I'm behind on. It is very hard these days to find a job, but I am hopeful. I have a couple of interviews, so I should have a job soon. I just need a little help from some kind people who know how hard it is these days when it comes to money. Thank you so much for your time and reading my story and considering helping me out. You are greatly appreciated, and it is more than I deserve, but I will be forever thankful. Again, thank you for your time and have a blessed day.
