Help Samantha Attend NYU Tisch Summer MusicalTheater Program

Hey there! I’m Samantha Gonzalez, a 16-year-old performer with big dreams and an even bigger passion for musical theater. Ever since I could remember, Performing as lit this big fire under me I am so passionate and have such a deep love for this art, and performing is the way I connect with the world And how I find understanding of the world we live in.

Right now, I’m a student at the Chicago High School for the Arts, and as of lady year I placed 3rd in the Chicago August Wilson New Voices Competition! On top of that, I’ve spent the last two years working with the Lookingglass Young Ensemble, which has helped me grow not only as a performer but as someone who believes in the power of art to make change.

Now, I have the amazing opportunity to attend the NYU Tisch Summer Musical Theater Program this summer—a dream come true! The only thing standing between me and this incredible experience is $10,000 to cover tuition, housing, and travel. As much as I’ve worked hard to get here, I could really use your help to make it happen!

Musical theater isn’t just about singing and dancing—it’s about using the stage to speak on issues that matter. One thing that’s really close to my heart is raising awareness about gun violence, and I’m passionate about using my craft to spread this message. My performances are my way of fighting for change, and this program would help me do that even more.
