Hi everyone, my name is Samantha. I’m a single mother to a one year old boy, and we are going through an unexpected and very time sensitive housing transition. My cat is also part of our little family, and I’m doing everything I can to keep him safe during this transition as well. I have been asked to move out of my current apartment by this Sunday, and while my mom is able to take us in temporarily for the next two weeks, I need help covering the immediate costs of moving and securing stable housing as soon as possible.

Right now, I need to rent a U-Haul and get moving supplies by this weekend so I can leave safely with my belongings. I will also need to pay for a small storage unit to keep our things until I am able to move into a new place. Once I find an apartment, I will need to cover the security deposit and first month’s rent, and I am also working on making temporary arrangements for my cat until we are fully settled. On top of all this, I need to make sure my son has everything he needs during this transition, since this has all happened very quickly.

I am doing everything I can to stay grounded, responsible, and focused on creating stability for my child. I am actively looking for housing and making the necessary steps to rebuild, but financially this situation is more than I can manage alone on such short notice.
