We got married! Now we need your help to raise money for legal fees to bring Samantha to Canada so we can spend our lives together!

It all started one day with a chance encounter I had while hiking down from a mountain. A man I had never met before passed by and stopped on the trail. He recognized me from a documentary that shares my personal journey with healing a substance addiction. He went on to tell me that the film had made a positive impact on a friend he had. That friend was Samantha.

Six months later we met for the first time on a FaceTime call and instantly clicked. We bonded through shared experiences, our passion for climbing, hopes and dreams and most importantly; our desire to live sober. What began as a friendship eventually blossomed into a beautiful, rare, and sacred love.

The challenge was there from the start. We live in separate countries and due to unfortunate circumstances, Samantha is not able to enter Canada. Still our love sustained, and our commitment to be together only got stronger. We made it work long distance through a hard year , and supported each other through many trials, obstacles and personal setbacks.

The one thing we keep coming back to is our gratitude for each other. We share it every day and it shapes the very core of our marriage. We are grateful for the miracle that brought us together, for our sobriety and for our opportunity to share this life together.
