Help Samah's Family Survive After Losing Everything in Gaza
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Samah, and I am from Gaza.
I never imagined that I would one day be writing my story here, asking strangers for help to keep my family alive. But today, I write this with trembling hands and a heart full of fear and pain. I am the eldest daughter in a family of 7 people who have lost everything—our home, our income, our safety, and even access to food and clean water.
Our house was destroyed during the relentless bombings. We fled with only the clothes on our backs. For weeks, we have been moving from one shelter to another, hoping to find a place where my younger siblings can sleep safely and my father can get medical care.
My father is in critical condition.
Due to complications from untreated wounds, my father had to undergo an amputation surgery. But the medical care here is nearly non-existent. Hospitals are overwhelmed, and medicine is scarce or unaffordable. He now requires urgent post-surgery treatment, physical therapy, and medication that we simply cannot afford.
We are struggling to survive.
We sleep on cold floors.
We go days without a proper meal.
We drink water that is barely clean.
My youngest brother cries himself to sleep from hunger, and I can do nothing.
There is no work, no income, no security.
I am asking you—as a fellow human being—to look at us not as statistics but as people with dreams, fears, and families just like yours. We never thought we would become beggars of mercy, but war has stripped us of even our dignity.
What we need:
Food and clean water
Medical treatment for my father
Basic necessities for the family
A small shelter to feel safe again
If you can’t donate, please share our story with your friends and family. Every act of kindness, every dollar, every prayer gives us one more day to survive this nightmare.
I don’t want to lose another member of my family.
Please, help us.
With hope,
Samah
