Two days before his 18th birthday Samael dove into the river for a swim and broke his neck crushing his C5 and C6 vertebrae. He needs surgery to stabilize the fracture and then we wait and see how his spinal cord responds. The surgery and subsequent costs are expected to be about 350,000 pesos. Sama is a super active young man and we want to give him the best chance we can to recover, walk, run, paraglide, ride his motorcycle and live a normal life. Sama has touched so many lives whether they be family, friends or people he had flown. Every little bit will help him on his road to recovery.
