Help Samaa to fight and live again

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart, hoping that together, we can bring light back into my sister Samaa’s life.

In November, our beloved Samaa suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. For 15 terrifying minutes, her heart had stopped. Though the doctors were able to restart her heart, the lack of oxygen caused severe brain injury. Since then, she has been fighting for her life at Windsor Regional Hospital, unable to speak, move her hands or legs, and relying on a feeding tube.

Now, after more than five months in the hospital, Samaa needs to be transferred to St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton for rehabilitation. This is a critical step in her recovery, and our family wants nothing more than to be by her side. However, this journey comes with great challenges.

Our mother, who has been Samaa’s rock, suffered a terrible accident last October, leaving her with a broken arm. Despite her pain, she is determined to stay with Samaa throughout her treatment. But staying in Hamilton means she will need accommodations, which cost $65 per day—an expense we simply cannot afford on our own.

Samaa is not just a sister; she is the heart of our family. She was always full of energy, love, and kindness—constantly helping others in our community, organizing charity efforts, and spreading joy to those around her. Now, she needs our help.

We humbly ask for your support to fund our mother’s stay so she can be with Samaa during this long and difficult recovery. The treatment could take six months or more, and we cannot do this without you.

أتوجه إليكم اليوم بقلب يثق بمحبتكم وتعاطفكم، على أمل أن نعيد معًا النور إلى حياة أختي الحبيبة، سما.

في نوفمبر الماضي، تعرضت سما لسكتة قلبية مفاجئة. لمدة 15 دقيقة مرعبة، توقف قلبها عن النبض. وبفضل الله ثم جهود الأطباء، عاد قلبها للحياة، لكن نقص الأكسجين أدى إلى إصابتها بتلف في الدماغ. منذ ذلك الحين، وهي تصارع المرض في مستشفى وندسور الإقليمي، غير قادرة على التحدث، أو تحريك يديها وساقيها، وتعتمد كليًا على أنبوب التغذية للبقاء على قيد الحياة.

بعد أكثر من خمسة أشهر في المستشفى، تحتاج سما الآن إلى الانتقال إلى مستشفى سانت جوزيف في هاميلتون لتلقي العلاج التأهيلي. هذه خطوة حاسمة في رحلتها نحو التعافي، وكل ما نتمناه هو أن نبقى بجانبها خلال هذه الفترة. لكن هذه الرحلة تحمل معها تحديات كبيرة.

والدتنا، التي كانت دائمًا السند والقوة لسما، تعرضت لحادث مأساوي في أكتوبر الماضي، أدى إلى كسر في ذراعها. ورغم الألم، هي مصممة على البقاء مع سما في كل خطوة من رحلة علاجها. ولكن البقاء في هاميلتون يتطلب الإقامة في سكن خاص بتكلفة 65 دولارًا يوميًا، وهو مبلغ يفوق قدرتنا المالية تمامًا.

سما ليست مجرد أخت، بل هي روح عائلتنا، كانت دائمًا مليئة بالطاقة والحب والعطاء، تسعى لمساعدة الجميع، وتشارك في الأعمال الخيرية، وتنشر السعادة أينما ذهبت. اليوم، هي من تحتاج إلى مساعدتنا.

نتوجه إليكم بنداء إنساني لدعم والدتنا حتى تتمكن من البقاء إلى جانب سما خلال هذه الفترة العصيبة. رحلة العلاج قد تستغرق ستة أشهر أو أكثر، ونحن لا نستطيع تحمل هذه التكاليف بمفردنا.
