Hi my name is Jacqualine.

Samantha has been my best friend for 13 years and I am writing you today to share her story.

Sam has been working hard toward her vet tech degree while working full time. Her dream has been to give her 6yo black lab, Boone the yard he deserves. She found just that a month ago and started preparations for moving in. The house needed work but it was theirs! Sam was a victim of identity theft and fraud during this time and pushed through despite the hardships that caused .

She and Boone moved in and 17 days later their world changed. You see, Boone has gone everywhere with Sam since he was just a pup. He grew up in the vet clinic she works at & never misses a day of work! This week was different. Due to a kennel cough outbreak Boone was home for the week. Sam checked on Boone at lunch on the 30th and 15 minutes later her house was in flames. A dear friend & neighbor, Dusti was driving by and happened to see Sam’s house as sam rushed home. Dusti tried her best to save Boone, injuring herself in the process.

Sam’s worst nightmare came true shortly after and she had lost Boone and her new home.

The fire is under investigation and could take months or longer. The house is not livable and she has lost nearly everything.

Sam is picking up the pieces and starting over without the one constant thing in her life, but I don’t want her to do this alone.

I am hoping the community can rally around such a selfless, loving, genuine person during her time of need. I know she’d do the same for any of us.

Funds will go toward housing and necessities, and starting her life over.
