Stand With Sam: Help a Young Family Through Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Given that Nandi and Sam have a strong network of friends abroad, including in the United States, Africa and the United Kingdom, this fundraiser was established in the United Kingdom by Nandi’s twin sister Nalishebo Elliott and her husband Christian Elliott, who are overseeing its management.
All funds are transferred directly to the Spry family in Australia as they are received
Sam Spry a husband, father of three, and a dedicated tradesman who has poured everything into building a better future for his young family.
Until recently, he was working hard to grow a new business. Then came the devastating news: a cancerous brain tumour. The tumour has been surgically removed, but Sam now faces a long and uncertain journey — including chemotherapy, possible radiotherapy, and a complete halt to work and driving. Meanwhile, the daily costs of life remain: rent, food, school fees, medical bills — £8,000–£10,000 per month.
But there’s more to Sam than his role as provider. He’s been a mentor to many, served as a youth pastor, and has quietly invested in the lives of countless young people. He’s the one who turns up for others — with encouragement, support, and unwavering kindness.
He would never ask for this help himself. But we will — because now it’s his time to be supported. We’re asking for your help — not only through one-off donations, but if possible, a regular monthly gift.
Even small, consistent support can bring real stability through the months ahead. It’s what we’re choosing to do as the Elliotts — we may not be able to give in one lump sum, but we can stand with them over time. If you’re able to give, thank you. If you can share this with others, we’re grateful.
Every act of generosity mttratters.
Let’s walk this journey with them.
