Help Sam Seek an Autism Evaluation

Hi, I’m Sam. I’m a 30 year old mixed Indigenous woman who was recently diagnosed with ADHD and severe social anxiety. I’ve struggled all my life, with anxiety, OCD, social interactions, extreme demand avoidance, sleep issues, and resulting depression. Finally in my adulthood I’m trying to put together all the pieces of why that is, so I can get the support I need to thrive. I’ve looked into every doctor specializing in Autism within a reasonable driving distance of my home (limited to about 150 miles because I can’t drive and would need someone to take me) and those few doctors who evaluate adults are not taking new patients at this time. I finally found a doctor who sounds amazing and is willing to see me. I don’t have any form of insurance, and I’m not employed or able to be employed or seek employment. The cost of the evaluation is roughly $4,500. Being able to seek an evaluation with this doctor would be life changing for me. Please if you’re able to help, I would so appreciate it. Pic is of my sister, my mom, and myself about 20 years ago. I think a lot about what would have happened if that little girl got the support she needed earlier in life, but I’m hoping for a future where that’s still possible for me.
