Earlier this afternoon (6/4), my brother Sam attempted to drive from Colorado to California, moving his belongings in his car. He has been traveling around the country while being relocated to different cities for his job. Before this trip, Sam had had some issues with his car (which he had just bought in the past year - I've included a picture above of Sam purchasing the car.) About a month ago, Sam paid several thousand dollars to have the car fixed. While driving through the Mojave desert, the vehicle caught on fire. Sam ran away from his car and was not able to grab any of his belongings. Everything Sam owned was in his car, including a Mac laptop, wallet, clothes, guitar, books, bibles, journals, cameras, very expensive camping gear, running shoes (he has been training for a marathon), not to mention his car! My family and I are hurting for Sam because he lost literally everything he owned and he has no means of transportation to and from his jobs, all while he is transitioning between homes and cities. He would hate me creating this page, but I know how many people care about Sam and would want to help him through this time! If you feel inclined, please donate or say a quick prayer for Sam!
