Help Sam keep their Car and Home!

Sam needs $2500 to keep their car & stay housed

This year, my partner Sam (ey/em/eir) bought for the first time an accessible car that ey can actually pack their wheelchair into. This car connects not only Sam, but eir entire household, to the rest of the city and the things they need to survive.

Unfortunately, Sam lost eir job earlier this year; ey were forcibly resigned due to their disability. Eir boss still thinks he was doing em "a favor."

On top of that, eir car was damaged in an accident just weeks after ey brought it home… while ey were teaching a fellow disabled trans person how to drive.

Eir neighbors are already upset with Sam as their house has become a sanctuary for a small group of otherwise houseless, disabled queers. They have reported eir car to the city to have it towed — we can’t afford that, but it’s no longer allowed on public streets until it’s fixed. They’ve also been trying to have Sam & eir family evicted.

We're seeking your help in paying for repairs to the car, so Sam can keep this precious lifeline for em and eir house to the outside world. Any additional funds will go towards helping eir household pay rent while Sam is applying for work opportunities.
