My name is Samuel Clark Jr. I am 15 years old and currently live in Collinsville, MS. I attend West Lauderdale High School as a sophomore taking all advanced courses and currently have a cumulative GPA of 4.056. I am the oldest of four kids. My father is Active Duty in the United States Navy and my mom works as an assistant at a local family owned furniture store in Meridian. Two years ago we were stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where I learned about the military. I met many people that furthered my interest in the field of Aerospace Technology and Engineering as well as how it affects family and life in the military. By the time I was 11, I decided I wanted to join the Navy after college and I still have the same, if not more, passion for it than I did those years ago. I have set my mind to graduating High School with not only a 4.0 or higher cumulative GPA but also plan on obtaining an associates degree. A couple weeks ago I was invited by George Mason University to attend a National Youth Leadership Forum: Engineering at my choice of a few universities over the US. I have chosen to attend Atlanta, GA at Georgia Tech University and my parents have secured my spot with a down payment. This Forum is just over $3,500 and it is extremely important to me to further my education and continue on the right path for my future.
