Help Sam Heal: Triple Bypass Surgical Aid and Recovery

Donation protected
On October 26, 2024, our Lives were changed and our Faith tested. Sam is a hard-working, self-less and strong-willed individual. To hear his cry for help to be taken to an emergency hospital was, to say the least, weird and unlike him. In the emergency room, to hear the news, "you are having a heart attack" was breath-taking. Then to stop and think, to realize the present-tense of the Doctor's words along with the hospital monitors indicative of ongoing heart attacks despite chest pains having subsided it was Unbelievable.
Days in the hospital, right by my Dad's side, seeing his improvement & positive mental state while controlled on blood thinners and a plethora of other medications gave hope, in our minds, for a conservative approach toward healing and patient discharge. However, on October 28, 2024, the Cardiology team delivered the unexpected news: Sam's only successful option for living was triple bypass heart surgery. The extent of his 80% blockages was only providing 20% viability and functioning of his heart; impressive for this 54 year old hard-working man. To think of surgery, having his chest plate cut open, his heart stopped, rewired and restarted, filled his mind with fear. He was deeply concerned about the burden the post-operative recovery would put upon his immediate family, 2 daughters and 1 granddaughter. These looming thoughts heavily lead to despair and helplessness. Love and support during the hospitalization period gave Sam strength and courage to not give up. He chose to Live. Surgery was performed on October 31, 2024. As of November 4, 2024, discharge from the hospital, the day to return Home finally arrived but as one challenge was behind him the next phase of his journey had just began. The next 3-6 months of post-operative rehabilitation will, and have, incurred personal and medical financial burdens. These stressors can cause delays and setbacks from a successful recovery, so WE ask for Your support.
If you have met him, for the first time or the 100+ time, you will be able to hear his most common words, “Don’t worry about it, I’ve got You”; not just regarding his knowledge and skills regarding cars (parts/labor) but even in his generosity in opening his home, offering a meal or a night out. He takes care of people not for the potential return but simply out of pure goodness. Rather than have You struggle, Sam will sacrifice. On the other hand, when it comes to himself, he will remain quiet, so I ask, on his behalf, no matter how big or small to donate as we face the financial, day-to-day and medical, bills. Financial assistance will help ease his mind and allow him to focus on a smooth & speedy recovery. I ask that You help donate to his fund as a way of telling him, “Don’t worry about it, I’ve got You”.
