Hey everyone! I am asking you to join me in helping my dear friend Sam gather funds to cover the 50% costs of her upcoming surgery (her insurance only covers half of the surgery) as well as funds to live on for the 6 weeks she will need to take off work while she recovers.

Particularly we are focusing on funds she can live off while she recovers. It takes a lot to recover from major surgery and to worry about covering rent at the same time, it's too much!

She has been in so much pain and while she can't afford to take off work, it looks like her best option is to have the surgery that will eliminate her painful physical issue as soon as possible. Surgery is scheduled for Dec. 4th.

Unfortunately, she will not be able to work during the recovery, so that leaves her out of a paycheck for a full six weeks. This is not feasible in today's economy :/

She usually works 2 jobs—she is a social worker helping kids at risk as well as an amazing face painter and party performer on the weekends. She will not be able to work at all for SIX WEEKS :/

She is such a loving and hardworking person. I am just trying to help her head into this major surgery knowing that she can rest and recover instead of trying to heal while she is super stressed and worrying about having basic needs like rent and food covered. Absolutely anything helps, $2, $5, $20, we would appreciate so much, any support you can give!
