Help Sam Heal After Tragic Accident
Donation protected
Daily, I take the dogs to the park for a walk after work. We returned home, and they jumped out of the van per usual, knocking me over. But this time, Sam ran into Center Street and got run over. He is my stepson's dog, and I feel horrible. If I hadn't been distracted, maybe this wouldn't have happened.
Blood was coming out of his nose, but he was trying to walk. A policeman recommended a vet I was thinking of. Of course, these things always happen after hours.
My stepson really needs this dog to help him stay stable; he was recently diagnosed as bipolar. Sam is in a kennel, and if he makes it through the night, he will be stitched up. Frankly, I didn't think he'd make it to the vet's. It looked like brain to me, but it was his skull.
I had paid my portion of rent, but luckily my husband had not paid his yet. Should Sam come home, he will need to be nursed for three weeks before our dogs can play with him.
