In September 2022, my very dear friend Sam, beautiful 48-year-old mother of 2, received heart-breaking news that she has stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

For those of you who know Sam, you know she is an extraordinary human being. She is cheerful, loving, unbelievably strong and always puts her friends and family before herself.

Since receiving the news, Sam has stayed true; her strength is admirable and her desire to fight this awful disease, immense.

The goal now is to stop the cancer from progressing and affecting other organs through integrative medicine therapies that work alongside chemotherapy.

Sam and the family are constantly researching what treatments are available and might be suitable, some of those include:

• Intravenous Vitamin C & Alpha Lipoic Acid treatment - Recent studies have shown this treatment achieve objective regression of the disease and effective control of tumour progression. Estimated cost - £3250 a month.

• Integrative Supplementation - Studies suggest supplementation such as adaptogenic mushrooms and CBD enhance orthodox treatments and show promise as part of an integrative approach to managing cancer. Estimated cost - £250 per month.

• Hyperbaric Chamber Sessions - Flooding the system with concentrated oxygen can help make cancer cells easier to kill with treatments like chemotherapy while also activating the healing process in the body. Estimated cost £160 per month.

If successful, these treatments would help to keep Sam’s disease under control. It would not go away, but Sam’s life expectancy and quality of life would greatly increase.

Unfortunately, these treatments are not available through the NHS and are not covered by Sam's health benefits, meaning the only way she can receive these life-changing treatments would be to fund it herself.

The support we've received so far has been amazing and we cannot thank our donors enough, but this is an ongoing journey, as you can see the monthly costings listed above, this is money Sam and family simply do not have.

So, I am asking again for help on Sam’s behalf.

I know it’s a difficult time for most financially right now. Still, anything you can give, any amount, will mean the world to Sam and her family and will go directly towards paying for these treatments, giving Sam more precious time with her husband Dave and her children Riley & Darcey.
