Hi, my name is Sam, and I’m a wildlife ecology master’s student from Karatina University in Kenya. I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ve been accepted to attend IsoCamp 2025, a prestigious training program in stable isotope science!

IsoCamp is an intensive two-week summer course that brings together students and researchers from around the world to learn how stable isotopes can be used to study everything from climate change to animal diets and ancient ecosystems. This year’s course will be held at the University of New Mexico in the U.S. from June 15–27, 2025, and I’m honoured to be among the accepted students.

As someone passionate about using science to understand and conserve wildlife and rangeland ecosystems, attending IsoCamp will be a game-changing opportunity. It will equip me with new tools to better understand ecological processes and improve my research back home.

I’m reaching out because I need your help to make this dream a reality. Here’s a breakdown of my estimated costs:

$185 – U.S. visa application (already paid and approved!)

$750 – Shared housing on campus for the duration of the course

$1,800 – Round-trip airfare from Nairobi to Albuquerque

$750 – Living expenses (meals, transport, essentials during my stay)
