Help Sam, April, and Pets after Fire
Hi, My name is Ben Hicks. I am asking if you will help my friend Sam, and his girlfriend, April, after they lost their entire lives in an Apartment fire in Ambridge, PA on August 7th, 2021. They lost all their possessions and their beloved cat, Bohdi. He was killed in the fire. Bohdi and I go way back as well. Sam was able to save their dog Cookie Monster and was burned going back inside to save the animals. I will do what I can to help my friends. I am asking if you can do whatever you can. Any amount would be greatly appreciated and help Sam, April, and Cookie monster get back on their feet. If you can help to lessen the blow of Bohdi's death and the loss of their belongings by a small monetary contribution I know they would be grateful.
Why it is important to fund them? Sam has always given back to the communities that he has lived. Sam is a trained psychologist with Cerebral Palsy and is legally blind. His ability to find a job like most people is not an option. He has been working to get his eyes fixed for some time, but has no medical insurance and has been living on minimal income. Over the years, Sam has counseled me, helping me to sort the challenges of life through his spiritual and existentialist approaches to psychology and the world. He has upheld this in the communities of Pittsburgh for the 25 years I have known him. He has kept people moving in positive directions in life and has been a powerful influence to so many. You have always been able to go to Sam if you are struggling in some way, and he will help you sort it out. I feel it is time maybe we can give back to help him, who has brought so much to so many . . . whether friend, or stranger. The Pandemic times are tough on everyone. If you could help my friend Sam, April, and Cookie Monster get back on their feet, I know the benefits would be returned in much needed ways.
I am asking for whatever you can give. I put $4,000 as the goal as they have lost everything. But, please give what you can to help them. I thank you so much in advance and if you know, Sam, then I know you will do what you can.
