Hi!

I’m always proud of my boys and their friends but it brings me a special level of pride to make this request on behalf of my son, Sam, and his friend, Jared! Anyone who knows Sam and Jared knows what amazing young men they are! Whether on the baseball or soccer fields, the basketball court, hunting in the woods or in a boat on the water they work well together and enjoy their time together. They also don’t let anything get in the way of their goals.

PVRS doesn’t have a fishing team… so Sam and Jared created one. They followed the guidance of their mentor KK (Thank you, Kaleb!!) and spent weeks searching, planning and registering for tournaments around the state. They readied their equipment (who knew one person needed so many fishing poles!) and set out at 4:00 in the morning on more Saturdays and Sundays than we thought possible. They sent us pictures and although we worried, we trusted their determination.

It brought great pride when Sam and Jared announced that they had done it, they won Massachusetts State Champions and were invited to the High School National Championship in Dayton, Tennessee on Chickamauga Lake. Would they go? Could we make it work? We’ve talked about it, we’ve thought about it and we have decided that we should try to make it work. So, here we are, asking for your help! Sam and Jared would like to participate in the High School National Championship in Dayton, Tennessee from July 29-31.

Can you help? They won a little bit of money to get them started, but it will cost money to travel to and to stay in Tennessee and of course we need to feed them along the way. Any little bit helps and we would be so grateful!
