Help Sam and family while he recovers
Sam is currently in the hospital at University of Michigan Medicine and will be having his colon removed due to his severe Ulcerative Colitis on Sunday, March 28th. Echo and I are both here for him but unfortunately due to COVID, he is only allowed one person and has to be the same for the entire day. We are taking turns being with him. He will be going through three surgeries which requires him at least 3 months in between each one depending on his recovery time.
This will require Sam to be off work for some lengthy time. He has remained strong and has fought this since his senior year in High School.
We had high hopes that the medicine regimen would help but unfortunately it has not. We have had several discussions with his GI doctors and surgical team about this procedure.
Sam has come to this decision because he knows his quality of life will be so much better then the last 10 years.
We all know that Sam would do anything to help anyone out at a drop of a hat. He’s an amazing son, loving husband, dedicated dad, best brother, giving grandson &
caring friend. If, you could even give a little to reach our goal it would be greatly appreciated.
Feel free to reach out to me if you would like to help out in any other way if unable to contribute. Thank you again and please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers.
