Help Sam After Surgery

Donation protected
My son, Sam Brake will be undergoing his second brain surgery to remove part of the tumor he was diagnosed with in right after graduating high school. Sam lost half of his vision after his first surgery in 2013, and will lose even more with the upcoming surgery, becoming legally blind at 32 years old.

Sam has worked harder than anyone I know to try to finish his college degree. He is just a few courses shy of his B.A.S  in Network System Technology, but needs to focus on his health and healing at present. This also means not being able to work right now and for an uncertain length of time in the future. Although Sam's dad and I can help in physically caring for him after surgery, we are unable to contribute much financially. It is difficult to ask for help, but his survival means everything to us.

My family and I have watched this young man persevere through years of difficult treatments and never give up. The surgery will happen in the next couple of weeks after he begins an immunotherapy regimen at UF Health here in Gainesville, FL. He is stopping school and work now, so having any funding as quickly as possible is very important. Please share this with whomever you think may be willing to help. Any and all assistance will be appreciated more than we can say.

Thank-you,
Anne Roberts - proud mother of Sam
