Hey my is Salvatore Demaio and I started this Gofund me to help raise funds for replacing my photography equipment that was recently stolen. (Video of incident included)
On August 28th, 2025 I was doing a photoshoot in front of SIXTYLes Hotel in Manhattan with one of my clients. While photographing I took my bag off and placed it on top of a deliver drivers bike. The delivery driver came out the hotel and watched while I was working and not looking and proceeding to drive away with my bag on the back of his bike. I contacted the police and the hotel tried to assist in recovering ym bad but to no avail. I do not have insurance (I know I learned a big lesson) or the available funds to replace over $5000 of equipment right now. I know life is tough, the economy is not so great and funds are scarce so I'm asking for any little help I can get to bring me closer to getting my equipment back. I had 2 lenses, SD Cards, Video Light, Photo Light, SSD Drive, Modifiers, and a few other misc items. Luckily I had my camera and one of my lens on me while working.
