Salt Springs Community has always come together to help lost and homeless pets, with residents opening their homes to animals in need until their families can be found. Unfortunately, without a microchip reader, it’s often difficult to quickly identify and reunite pets with their owners. This means many animals spend unnecessary time away from home, and the community faces ongoing challenges caring for them.

With so many pets found wandering in our area, having a microchip reader would be a game-changer. The local pet groomer has generously agreed to keep the scanner at her shop, making it accessible at her convenience for anyone who finds a lost pet. This will allow us to scan for microchips right away, contact owners, and help more pets get home safely and quickly.
