Please Help Salma Dance Her Way to NYC

Hi, my name is Penny, and I’m reaching out to help my dear friend Bouchra’s daughter, Salma, follow her dreams. Salma, a 14-year-old with an incredible talent and passion for ballet, has been accepted to attend a prestigious 5-week summer program with the American Ballet Company in New York City!

Salma has been dancing since the age of 3 with the Mid Columbia Ballet company. Her dedication to her craft is truly inspiring—she spends countless hours perfecting her technique and pushing herself to new heights. Her dream is to one day dance on the world’s biggest stages, and this opportunity brings her one step closer.

While Salma’s parents have always supported her dreams, it hasn’t been easy. Her father is working two jobs to help make ends meet, and her family has made countless sacrifices to pay for her ballet classes, shoes, and equipment. While Salma has attended summer programs in the past with the help of scholarships, this New York program unfortunately didn’t offer her one.

Given Salma’s age, her mother, Bouchra, will need to accompany her to New York for the duration of the program. This requirement adds to the financial challenge, as it entails additional expenses for travel and accommodation.

We’re aiming to raise $16,000 to cover the cost of tuition, travel, and living expenses for Salma’s 5-week stay in New York, as well as the expenses for Bouchra to accompany her. The program requires a down payment of $4,000 by January 29, with the remaining $8,000 due by April. Every donation, no matter how small, brings her closer to this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
