Help Sally Recover and Keep Her Joyful Music Biz Alive

Hi, I'm Rebecca Lowe, St. Petersburg, FL resident. This campaign is for my dear friend Sally Morgan who has experienced unimaginable loss due to back-to-back hurricanes. In just two weeks, her life was turned upside down by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, leaving her in need of our support to get back on her feet.

Sally moved into her new home in Gulfport, FL, on September 1st. But just over three weeks later, Hurricane Helene swept through, flooding her home with seawater and destroying everything on the ground floor, including her work equipment. Her home was condemned, and her income came to a halt.

As if that wasn't enough, on the same day she moved into a temporary backup home, Hurricane Milton struck, forcing her to evacuate yet again. Like so many others in Florida, Sally was displaced for days. Facing two moves in one month during a hurricane season, coupled with her daughter’s wedding, has been a traumatic experience.

Sally is a gifted musician—an accomplished pianist, singer-songwriter, and voice teacher who performs live and teaches students. Her music equipment, including 3 keyboards: Roland Digital Piano, $3800; Yamaha Stage Piano, $850; Casio Stage Piano, $850; 2 gig bags: $330, $370; many music books totaling about $550; gig speaker, $875; and home studio speakers, $450; plus rugs and furniture, was all lost in the storm. With her tools of the trade gone and living in survival mode, Sally hasn’t been able to see clients, perform, or even market her business.

Sally has also been dealing with illness that has sapped her energy and health. The script her needs is $750 a month even with insurance! So, she continues to be ill.

Despite her own losses, Sally is still extending her kindness—currently providing me and another friend with a place to stay as we recover from the hurricanes. Her resilience and generosity know no bounds, but she can’t rebuild alone.

Sally has always been a source of joy and healing in our community. Now, she needs our help. Your support will enable Sally to restart her business, replace her lost equipment, and begin the path to rebuilding her life.
