Hello! My name is Sally Oh, and I am a secondary school student studying abroad in Canada. I have been here for two years. My final semester of high school will begin in two weeks.

After I graduate, I have to return to my home country because I cannot apply to foreign universities due to high tuition costs. I want to spend my last summer as a teenager in a meaningful way.

I have always dreamed of going on a road trip to California. I am very thankful that my friend suggested going on a road trip with me, but it costs a lot. I don’t want to borrow money from my parents.

The total cost of the trip will be around $1,000. I have already saved $400 from winning writing competitions, so I only need $600 more. I will use the funds for gas, accommodation, and documenting the trip.

If I can go there by car and see its nature up close, I think I will understand myself better. I believe this experience will make my last teenage summer special. Even if problems happen, I will take them as learning experiences.
