Salimatou, a single mother and dedicated community and refugee advocate, is facing urgent health issues requiring surgery. She moved to the United States in 2018 with her child, who battles a severe chronic illness himself. With a career devoted to social services and active involvement in the community, Salimatou has touched many lives.

Recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer, she is grappling with overwhelming medical bills and needs financial assistance to cover the cost of her upcoming surgery. Additionally, she requires support to cover a family member’s travel expenses to care for her child during her recovery.

Having known Salimatou for the past two years, I am reaching out to raise funds because her family has faced numerous unplanned expenses this year. I have personally witnessed her pour love and care into refugee families for two years, and am now lovingly requesting the same care provided be back to her. Your support will directly impact Salimatou and her family's well-being during this critical period.
