Welcome to Saving Sakinah, a fundraising page dedicated to helping with the costs of Sakinah's Leukemia treatment. 

Sakinah is a 5-year-old girl who has been diagnosed with blood cancer since 2017. This little girl has been battling cancer for close to half her life. This isn't a life anyone—let alone a child should live.  At this age she should be excited about her new kindergarten classes and classmates but all she knows is hospital beds and doctors. 

She has been diagnosed with Acute Leukemia — also known as blood cancer for two years and though in blood cancer it is difficult to determine the stage, doctors say if you had to put a number on it, it would be stage two.  Because she and her parents (Sakinah's mother is our cousin) live in Pakistan, health care costs are not covered. They pay for every check-up, every treatment, and every procedure.  It would mean the world to us if you could help us with the treatment of our little girl. We have been collecting funds from relatives to help them but we haven't been able to collect the entire amount that they need. 

The situation is very urgent as she goes through treatment every week. Every penny helps, but if you are unable to donate, a share of this page would mean a lot to us.
