Help Saja's Family Survive in Gaza
Donation protected
Saja’s family lives in a small tent in Al Mawasi, Khan Younis. Their home in Rafah was bombed and destroyed on October 11, 2023, days after the war began. They have been displaced for nearly 2 years now, moving between schools and tent camps trying to survive. With no end to the war, she needs your support to make sure her family survives in the tent camp.
Please donate so Saja can buy a waterproof tent, food, filtered water, medicine, bread and firewood to cook on to keep her family safe. Prices are high and she cannot afford food or many supplies for her family. They are hungry every day and cold every night.
Saja and her 6 siblings and her young nieces struggle with hunger, cold and illness, as well as the war every day. The children have suffered from skin infections and other illnesses. Her parents are elderly and her father has a medical condition. And the drugs are very difficult and very expensive to obtain.
Note from the organizer: My name is Maureen Dunne. I am based in Chicago and have been talking to my friend Saja Asad Alhamayda for months via WhatsApp and Instagram. I am collecting funds for her since she does not have a bank account able to be linked to this website. I will send the funds to her trusted cousin Mohamed in Jordan, and then he will wire them to her through Vodafone Cash (an e-wallet application) so she can spend it in Gaza. Thank you for your support.
