Help Sajah Francesca fund their first poetry collection!

Donation protected
Sajah Francesca (22) is attempting to raise 3K to publish their first manuscript, titled Nasty. Unpredictable. Nonsense., with Archway Publishing, which is an affiliate of Simon and Schuster. The money would go towards funding distribution, paying an editor, and paying a cover designer. This would be an incredible opportunity for an up and coming, passionate artist from right here in Long Beach. This is your chance to show your support for local queer art if you have the means! THEIR PAYMENT IS NEEDED BY FRIDAY 5/1!

The poetry collection is split into three sections: Nasty, Unpredictable, and Nonsense. This semi-autobiographical collection is chock full of surrealist, image heavy poetry. The work explores themes such as queerness, identity, theology and religion, the cycles of drug abuse, coming of age in a technological era, and they vary a few of their poems into different genres: Sci-Fi and Fables. There is a total of four flash fiction pieces and forty two poems.

Sajah’s intent with their work is to explore artistic expression through poetry in a way that is deemed “unacceptable” by literary academics, by manipulating form and the shape of their writing, as well as inducing their works with a sense of darkness balanced with whimsy to reflect the reality of the world. They hope to inspire other people to explore the parts of themselves that may been seen as “unacceptable” and instead, find peace and serenity in the nasty, the unpredictable, and the nonsensical.
