Saira is a single mother of two — 13-year-old Sebastian and 11-year-old Saul — who recently took a brave step and started her own janitorial cleaning business. She was building something for her family, one job at a time.
On March 17th, while Saira was unloading her cleaning equipment from the trunk of her parked car to start a job, a speeding car lost control on the street and struck her, pinning her between the vehicle and the trunk of her own car.
She was rushed to MemorialCare in Long Beach, where she underwent emergency surgery. She now faces multiple upcoming surgeries, and her doctors are fighting to save her leg. Amputation is still a possibility.
Best case, Saira will not be able to work for at least 6 to 9 months. She has no immediate family nearby to help. Her two young children need to be fed, housed, and cared for while their mom fights through the hardest period of her life.
We are City Wide Facility Solutions of Southwest Los Angeles — we’ve seen Saira’s work ethic, her dedication to her kids, and her determination to build a better life. We’re asking for your help to make sure her children are taken care of while she recovers.
Funds will go toward:
• Food, school supplies, and daily essentials
• Childcare while Saira is hospitalized and recovering
• Medical expenses not covered by insurance
• Transportation and other necessities
• Legal help to find who is responsible for the accident and hold them accountable
Any amount helps. If you can’t donate, please share this page — it makes a bigger difference than you know. We’ll post updates on Saira’s recovery as she progresses.
Thank you for helping us take care of Saira.
