Help Saint John House Fire Victims
Donation protected
On the morning of October 7, 2019, Brooke and her daughter Abby were awakened from their sleep in their top-floor flat, just before 2am, when they discovered there was a fire in the roof of their building. They frantically ran downstairs and alerted everyone else living in the house, called 911, and watched helplessly from the driveway as the Saint John Firefighters responded and put the blaze out.
A single mom, Brooke had taken out a tenant's insurance package when she moved into the building in July 2018. She did not receive a renewal notice from her insurance company because "they don't do phone calls and their email system wasn't working" Unbeknownst to her, she has not had insurance for 2 1/2 months.
They have lost everything. Their flat is in shambles. Any donation you can spare will help them get their feet back under them.
