Hey Y’all! For those who don’t know me, I’m Sailor Shelton-Crump. I’m 23, and I’ve been struggling with chronic health issues since I was 12. Some of my conditions include EDS, POTS, Gastroparesis, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, and many more.
Recently, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. My doctors believe this could be the cause of most of my other conditions. They believe I have endo lesions growing on most of my abdominal organs and possibly elsewhere, which would be the cause of my other issues.
While this news is scary, it also brings me so much hope to know that these conditions that I previously thought were incurable may have a solution, and I might be able to get better.
I’ve been very sick since I was 12, but in the last three years, my endo symptoms have gotten much worse. I’m in pain 24/7 and no longer just have symptoms around my period but all the time. It causes extreme leg pain that feels like they’re being crushed by a semi, and weakness which leaves me unable to walk, extreme abdominal pain to the point I can’t move, fatigue, and brain fog so severe I can barely speak at times. The list goes on.
I was lucky enough to find a doctor who listens and truly wants to help. I will be having surgery to remove the endo lesions and hopefully fix any damage that it has done to my organs on June 26th.
While insurance helps, this surgery is still very expensive, and we will have to travel to Jacksonville for it, plus the costs of 6 appointments surrounding the surgery and supplies for recovery.
Mason and I just got married a year ago and were not expecting such a major expense so quickly.
If you’re able to, please donate, share, and most importantly, pray that it is as life-changing as we hope it will be.
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Psalms 73:26
Thank you so much,
Sailor Shelton-Crump
