Help Sailor Find Her Forever Family

Sailor is our first ever foster dog. We took her in 6 weeks ago from the NYC city shelter (the ACC). She was found by the NYPD on the street without a collar or microchip. She is 8 years old, and we think she was used for breeding and then abandoned when she wasn’t useful anymore.

Sailor is SUPER sweet and VERY affectionate, but she was never taught doggie manners, so she still has a lot to learn, like how to walk on a loose leash and to give humans some personal space when she wants to cuddle.

She had to go back to the ACC shelter because she turned out to be not safe for young children. Things are looking bad for Sailor at the shelter, because they're completely full.

We searched high and low for another, more suitable foster for Sailor and found a great match! But we still need a rescue organization to take her from the ACC and under their wing. With funds and especially an adopter, a rescue will be more likely to accept her.

Please help. Any funds not used for Sailor will go towards the other deserving dogs at the ACC who need a chance at a good life. Thank you from us and from Sailor. If she could understand, she’d be so appreciative. She's immediately put her face in your lap.
