Hello,

My name is Bassem Ali, a resident of Ottawa (Canada), I am raising funds to help my friend, Saiid Shoaib of Gaza to rebuild his family’s home that was destroyed as a result of on-going War.

Saiid used to live in the Bureij Refugee Camp and was working as social activist and freelancer . He built a tiny apartment for his small beautiful family (a wife and a boy), above the 3 storey family building. Unfortunately, the whole building was destroyed as a result of Israeli bombardments. Saiid’s family (wife, kid, parents, brothers, sisters) were all displaced and on the run… They had no choice but to shelter in tents that are made of thin plastic sheets and wooden bars.

Like many Palestinians, they have been deprived of basic life necessities and can barely stay warm in the cold winter. Saiid’s childhood memories were buried in the rubbles… Feeling empty handed, and powerless in the face of such a tragedy, the family find themselves in enviable position to have to start all over again. They look forward to rebuilding their family home including Saiid’s own small apartment and to become properly sheltered.

After being active in the community, helping the poor in the refugee camps in Gaza Strip and raising hope for many for a better life, Saiid and his family are now in dire need for your support.
