Hi my name is Sala and I am fundraiser for Sai Samma and her children.

On Monday morning at 7:15am (09/06/2025), a devastating fire broke out in Sai’s home in Nottingham. Thankfully, by the grace of God, Sai and her two children were not at home at the time — a miracle that we are deeply grateful for. Neighbours quickly called the fire brigade, but the damage was extensive.

The house has now been declared unlivable. Sai, her daughter, and her son have lost nearly everything — left with only the clothes they had on. They are currently staying in a temporary Airbnb while they wait for their home to be repaired, a process that will take many months.

In the blink of an eye, their lives were turned upside down. They now face the daunting task of rebuilding from scratch — from everyday necessities like clothes, toiletries, and food, to household items and school essentials for the children.

This fundraiser is a call for help — to rally around a mother and her children who have shown incredible strength in the face of trauma and loss. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards helping them find some stability and comfort during this incredibly difficult time.

Sai is a loving, kind, and generous person — the kind who always shows up for others. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
