Help me continue my studies in Amsterdam!

Hello beautiful people

My name is Sahil Laheja. I am a musician from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. I am currently pursuing my Bachelors in Jazz Drums from Conservatorium van Amsterdam in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

To come to Amsterdam and study music, I put everything on the line.

I let go of my life in Nepal as a full time musician/educator, sold everything I had, got a loan from India that i'm paying back and took big risks. But despite everything, I got here and managed to complete my first year of studies through hard work and hustle.

Now that I am continuing to the second year, I am facing these challenges again and I need your help!

Coming from a really small city in India where no one even acknowledges studying music or studying abroad, I have come a long way with my passion and determination to the craft. I believe this is not just a personal achievement but a significant moment for me to represent my country on such a grand stage.

As a non-european student coming to study from India, I have to pay three times the tuition as compared to european students. The amount that I have to pay is €6,200. I am not eligible to receive any student finances offered by the government here or even get a loan because of the same reason.

Also for work, its hard to get work permits but I have managed to find my way through it and I survive in this city by my work. But in the end basically, I have nothing to pay my tuition.

I believe that the universe always has a way for things to work out and this campaign might be one of the ways. I know all you beautiful people i've met in my life or even have not met yet are really looking forward to seeing me continue this story of my life with music and are willing to support me in any way possible.
