Hello, my name is Sage and I need help desprately, but anything would go far.
In summary before I begin, I need money so I can get my cats the help they deserve at the vet.
I will explain more about us and our story, to be transparent.
I just turned 21 and I just got my permit. I've had a lot of struggles in life, but I'm trying my very hardest to get on my feet even if I'm a bit late.
My cats have kept me going for a long time; they're all I have some days.
Last year my cats and i had a lot of struggles, i was struggling to afford their shots, their flea meds, some minor vet fees. However, all of that has now been cared for for awhile, Loba got spayed a few months ago. Wolf has been treated for his skin issues. They've been up to date on vaccines. It has costed me and my bf hundreds out of pocket. The donations we got before did help, but its not enough.
My father does not support me and hes the only blood family i really have near me. My boyfriend who works minimum wage has been helping me for over a year now and we are really pushing it the last 2 weeks(added apr 14 2026), its easier to pay things off slowly but these back to back to back to back vet issues are rlly hurting us. 2 weeks ago i noticed one of my 2 cats, Wolf, was straining in the litterbox. We went to a urgent care vet, got a urinalysis, xrays, the whole 9 yards. That ran us $600. He was doing fine, towards the end of the waiting period he was peeing normally again. So i left, after staying home for so long i finally left to stay a few nights at my boyfriends house, not my best decision. I stay, i go back today to check on my snakes, spiders, kitties etc clean and take care of them. And i notice wolf straining again, at this point he was not supposed to be. I immediately am like freaking out, breaking down, im upset because i dont know how long it’d been going on, i feel dumb i left, i hate that my dad didnt notice. But we sit there, freaking out for like a hour, then go to a urgent care vet. Where they tell us the absolute worst news, hes blocked. We are both crying and freaking out, the vet is telling us lots of things and im trying to not sob my brains out. & so they write up 2 estimates, we take the cheaper one which was still $1k at the time. Insane, i dont have a job, i cant get one anytime soon, i make next to nothing off art, hes working minimum wage like i said and soon to have to go back to college & not be able to work at all. It sucked, we called his mom, shes covering it again, she covered it before too. Still really stressful on both of us. They do bloodwork, anesthesia, and get him unblocked. Normally theyre supposed to stay overnight at a animal hospital with a catheter but we couldnt afford something like that, so we take him home with 2 different pain meds & a muscle relaxer, im worried that they didnt prescribe another antibiotic run, i think he needs it, i dont think we are out of the woods rn. We have to watch him closely for 72 hours as his risk of blocking again is high.
The total vet fees alone in the last two weeks was $1500, i have paid $260 towards it but he needs more. On top of that every month he is going to need $100 prescription food. We have already ordered his first case.
He is also eventually going to need a surgery to widen his urethra which will be approximately 2k which is so impossible for us right now. Please share this, we need help.
Anything would help us at this point. I'm trying super hard to work on art commissions; it's very hard to stay motivated with unmedicated ADHD and the constant financial stress.
You can find me on Ko-Fi @ wolfsincity for comms
All funds will go strictly to my cats and if there is extra to my dads dog who also needs help. Thank you so much.
