[UPDATE] Sage unfortunately passed away today shortly after making this gofundme. This was made in hopes that we would see a turn around in her health but ultimately our sweet baby has left us. If you still feel compelled to donate the funds moving forward will be used to help us with our heavy emergency veterinary bills and Sage's aftercare. Thank you so much for any help. Sage is our 6-year-old cat, and she means the world to us. Recently, Sage was diagnosed with FIP on Sunday, a serious illness that has required her to be drained of fluid twice already. The medication she needs is very expensive. Today (Tuesday) she was taken back to the vet, and they are now thinking it could be heart failure, cancer, or chylothorax. Sage has needed many tests that are very expensive and could potentially need surgery. As people who consider Sage and our other cats to be our children, this has been an incredibly difficult time for us. Sage has been by our side through all of our major milestones in adulthood, and her companionship is irreplaceable.

The funds raised will go directly toward Sage’s medication and vet visits, as well as an emergency veternary fund as she may need more visits in the future depending on the diagnosis. These will all give her the best chance to recover and live a healthy life. Your support will not only help cover these essential costs, but it will also give us hope and comfort during this challenging period. We are getting married in three days, and helping Sage would be the best wedding gift we could ever receive.
