Help Sage and Moonbeam with emergency funds

Hi all. My name is Sage and I am a trans man living in the south. Like many trans people right now, I am extremely worried about my safety under the current administration and am trying to consider options for what to do if/when things escalate against trans people. One of these options is potentially moving up north where I have friends/family as a support network and live in a state with more robust protections for trans individuals.

I am very lucky to have full-time employment and a small amount of savings. However, I do not have a significant other to split expenses with, and while my social/emotional safety net is wonderfully vast, many of my loved ones are also marginalized and I cannot in good faith accept money from them. If I leave the south last-minute, most of my savings will go towards paying my portion of rent for the remainder of my lease, which ends in June and which I cannot abandon due to my two friends/roommates depending on my third to afford the house. This would leave me pretty much broke until I find more work up north, which could be a lengthy and painful process, as I work in a niche field (academic libraries) that may also be targeted by the current administration.

All this to say, I am attempting to raise extra emergency funds for a contingency. These funds will be saved for the following possibilities:

If a miracle happens and I no longer feel like I need this safety net, I will refund this money. However, I do not want to feel financially constrained to move if need be.
