A passionate advocate for women, Saffron Gustafson draws from her personal experiences in the U.S. federal prison system. Born in Cottage Grove and raised in
Springfield, Oregon, Saffron holds dual degrees in General and Social Sciences from the University of Oregon and an MBA from Northwest Christian University. Her professional
journey spans the successful management of medical DME clinics across Washington, Oregon, and Northern California. Saffron’s courageous firsthand insights into the flaws of the justice system led her to establish Marpé Haven, a nonprofit organization
dedicated to empowering women transitioning out of incarceration.
Through Marpé Haven, she provides paths to hope, healing, and personal growth, nurturing a vision where women can rediscover their voices, self-worth, and potential. Saffron is first starting with finding employment for women coming out of the system. She is working on starting a for-profit business in which she will be able to employ many women looking for a second chance in the workforce. Any donation would be greatly appreciated and help in the start-up costs of a well-established business plan. She will then hire women coming out of the system and use profits to offer more opportunities through her non-profit. Any donation will help fund the start-up costs of opening the for-profit business. Thank you. :)
