Help Saffire and Family Through Cancer Fight

Donation protected
We are asking for prayers and support on behalf of Saffire, who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma stage 3 back in June of 2023. Saffire is a 25-year-old mother to her 6-year-old daughter, Remi, and Jason’s 8-year-old son, Jett. She works as a general surgery medical assistant for a local surgeon who deals with different types of cancer such as thyroid, breast, skin, and colon. She has held down two jobs, managing her own small business, The Tatted Mama & Co., and being a full-time parent while undergoing chemotherapy, targeted radiation, and immunotherapy. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking homemade sourdough recipes, or being curled up with her two dogs reading a good suspenseful fiction book. Her all-time favorite pastime is being on a nice long trail ride, smelling the mountain air, and taking in what nature has to offer, especially the wildflowers. She grew up learning how to ride horses and has competed successfully in many rodeo events for barrel racing and trick riding. Saffire enjoys trail riding and camping up the Bighorns. Unfortunately, she has not been given clearance to get back on a horse since her diagnosis.

Osteosarcoma is a rare bone cancer that causes tumors on the bone, therefore weakening the bone itself. Each year, there are about 50 new cases of osteosarcoma diagnosed in the United States among children, teens, and young adults. Her largest and most concerning tumor is located between her C7 and T1 disks, pushing them apart. There are no viable local surgical options or recommendations at this time due to the location and size. After speaking with her medical and orthopedic oncologists, they have sent her a referral to the City of Hope in Arizona for a clinical trial.

Saffire and her family will be faced with taking an intermittent leave of absence from work during the length of this clinical trial. This complication, combined with her medical, travel, and home expenses, will create a financial hardship for the family at a time when their primary focus should be on her battling and winning this fight. Please consider supporting Saffire and her little family with prayers and donations that will allow them to focus on this long, overwhelming battle. They will gain strength and peace from the outpouring of love and support from the community, which is embracing them during their time of need.
