Help Us Rebuild After a Fire: A New Home for Survivors

Donation protected
Summary:
On July 2nd, it is believed that a lightning strike caused a devastating fire that destroyed SafeHope Home, a safe home in the Durham Region for survivors of human trafficking. The women lost all of their belongings - the last of their personal things that they managed to keep after escaping their traffickers. More than just shelter, this space offered trauma therapy, education, and security. Now, that safe space is gone.

We’re raising funds to secure emergency housing, essential items, and a new home to provide stable shelter to the women that Safehope supports. Every donation helps restore safety, dignity, and hope. Please give what you can or share this campaign with others. Together, we can rebuild what was lost and come back even stronger.

---------------

On July 2nd, 2025, our home that provided safety, healing, and hope for women who survived human trafficking was lost to a fire. Though we are fortunate that everyone made it out safely, the damage was unimaginable. It is now completely uninhabitable.

We urgently need your help to rebuild what was lost.

This home was more than just a building; it was a sanctuary, a place where women and their children could begin again. Now, without a permanent location, their future is uncertain.

We are working tirelessly to raise funds for:

  • Emergency relocation and short-term housing
  • Basic furnishings and household essentials
  • Down payment or leasing costs for a new, safe home
  • Essential repairs or renovations to ready a new space

Whether you can give $1 or $1,000, your support will directly help women and children to reclaim the safety and stability they deserve.

If you’re unable to donate right now, you can still make a huge difference by sharing this campaign with your network.

Thank you for standing with us and for helping us to rebuild our home and our future.
