Hi everyone,
My name is Dannielle and I’m reaching out with a lot of emotion and hope in my heart for help with my beautiful dog, Sadie, who was just diagnosed with a serious spinal condition called IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) this morning.
What Happened:
This morning, Sadie suddenly started showing signs of severe pain—trembling, whining, and struggling to move. It was terrifying to watch. We rushed her to the vet, where we received the heartbreaking news: she has IVDD, a spinal disease that can quickly lead to paralysis if not treated promptly.
Sadie is currently home on crate rest and has 3 lots of painkillers. However it is likely that this will not work and costs to make her better could exceed £10.000. An amount I don’t have
We’re now in a critical window to manage her pain and inflammation, and if she doesn’t respond to conservative treatment, she may need emergency surgery. The costs are rising fast—diagnostics, medication, crate rest supplies, and potentially thousands for advanced imaging or surgery.
Why We’re Asking for Help:
Three months ago, I lost my job. It’s been a really tough time financially, and while I was able to apply for new pet insurance, the new policy doesn’t begin for another week, meaning none of Sadie’s emergency care is covered.
I would never ask if I didn’t truly need to—this is one of the most painful and vulnerable moments of my life. Sadie means the world to us. She’s my companion, my comfort, and my baby. I can’t bear to see her suffer or risk me and my children losing her because I can’t afford urgent care.
How You Can Help:
• Donate anything you can—even the smallest amount brings us closer to giving Sadie the care she urgently needs.
• Share this page with friends, family, or fellow animal lovers.
• Send us love and support—it means more than words can say right now.
Thank you so much for reading Sadie’s story. With your help, I truly believe we can get her through this and back to living the happy, playful life she deserves.
With love and gratitude,
Dannielle & Sadie
