Sadie is our wonderful girl—she’s been part of our family since she was 8 months old, and she means the world to us. My husband and I are both retired and in our 70s, and we don’t have children together, so Sadie is truly like our child. Her bubbly personality and unconditional love have brought us so much joy, and we want to do everything we can to keep her healthy and happy.

Recently, Sadie developed a suspicious black growth on her eyelid and three lumps in her stomach. She’s scheduled for surgery next week at OZ Animal Hospital in Chicago, where the growth and lumps will be removed. After she heals, she’ll also need therapy for her weak back legs. The vet bills and therapy costs are expected to be significant, and we’ve already spent a lot on her recent care. With my husband being handicapped, I often have to help Sadie up and down the stairs and lift her into the car for her appointments. It’s a lot to manage, but we love our baby and want to give her the best care possible.
