Help Sadie Fund Gender-Affirming Care: Top Surgery

Hi everyone, my name is Sadie and I use they/them pronouns. I’m fundraising to cover the costs of my upcoming top surgery, a life-changing step that will allow me to live more fully and authentically as myself.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve experienced gender dysphoria. It just took a long time to understand it.

While I’ve learned to cope, it impacts my daily life in ways that make it difficult to feel comfortable in my own body. Top Surgery is not just about physical comfort - it's about reclaiming ownership of my body, easing the constant weight of dysphoria, and affirming that my life is worth living. It's an act of resilience.

Because let's be honest: living authentically right now is scary. In today’s political and social climate, the rights and safety of queer, trans and nonbinary people are under attack. Across the country, laws are being written to restrict access to gender-affirming healthcare, erase LGBTQIA+ history, and strip away our dignity. Despite these challenges, I am choosing to live, as myself, and move forward.

Unfortunately, the financial side is a big barrier. Between the surgery itself and recovery time off work, the cost of care is around $18k-$20k. Even with savings and insurance, I can’t cover everything on my own. That's why I’m reaching out to my community for support.
